Course overview

The SSI Advanced Adventurer course in Muscat extends your skills with five adventure dives across Oman's standout sites, from deep reef walls at the Daymaniyat Islands to the lagoons of Bandar Khayran. You sample specialties such as deep, navigation, night and buoyancy while building confidence in varied conditions. You finish as a certified SSI Advanced Adventurer, the stepping stone to specialty and rescue training.

What you’ll learn

• Experience deeper diving toward 30 metres
• Navigate by compass and natural references
• Refine buoyancy, trim and air management
• Sample specialties such as deep, navigation, night and buoyancy
• Adapt to different sites and boat-diving conditions
• Plan and lead more advanced dives

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12 (Junior version available)
• SSI Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
• No minimum number of logged dives required
• Medical statement and physician sign-off where indicated

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Deep & navigation dives

   Complete deep and navigation adventure dives at a Daymaniyat reef wall and Bandar Khayran.
2. Day2
   Elective dives & certification

   Sample three more adventure dives such as night or buoyancy, then certify as an Advanced Adventurer.
