Course overview

The PADI Advanced Open Water course in Muscat builds on your Open Water certification with five adventure dives that take you deeper and broaden your skills on Oman's best sites. You complete required Deep and Underwater Navigation dives plus three of your choosing, such as wreck, night or peak performance buoyancy, on boat trips to the Daymaniyat Islands and Bandar Khayran. You certify as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, qualified to 30 metres.

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12 (Junior Advanced Open Water)
• PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
• No minimum number of logged dives required
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Deep & navigation dives

   Complete the required Deep dive on a Daymaniyat reef wall and the Underwater Navigation dive at Bandar Khayran.
2. Day2
   Elective dives & certification

   Complete three elective adventure dives such as wreck, night or buoyancy, then certify as an Advanced Open Water Diver.
