Course overview

Gain experience and reach 30 metres with the SSI Advanced Adventurer course on Maafushi, in the Maldives' South Malé Atoll. Across five adventure dives at sites like Maafushi Corner and Kandooma Thila, where reef sharks and turtles patrol the channels, you sample specialties and sharpen your skills in warm 27-30°C water. You finish as an SSI Advanced Adventurer, ready for deeper, more varied diving.

What you’ll learn

• Plan and conduct dives to 30 metres on the Deep adventure dive
• Navigate using compass and natural references
• Sample five specialty disciplines through adventure dives
• Improve buoyancy, trim and air use
• Build dive-planning skills and self-reliance
• Dive confidently across varied atoll conditions

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12 (Junior) or 15
• SSI Open Water Diver (or qualifying equivalent)
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Deep & Navigation dives

   Complete the Deep and Navigation adventure dives, building to 30 metres on atoll sites such as Maafushi Corner.
2. Day2
   Specialty sampler dives

   Choose three more adventure dives, such as Wreck on Kuda Giri or Perfect Buoyancy, then certify.
