Course overview

Build real diving experience and reach 30 metres with the PADI Advanced Open Water course on Maafushi, in the Maldives' South Malé Atoll. Across five adventure dives, including the required Deep and Underwater Navigation dives, you explore sites like Maafushi Corner and Kandooma Thila where reef sharks and turtles patrol the current in warm 27-30°C water. You finish a more confident, capable diver certified to greater depth.

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12 (Junior) or 15
• PADI Open Water Diver (or qualifying equivalent)
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Deep & Navigation dives

   Complete the two required adventure dives, building to 30 metres and mastering compass navigation on atoll sites such as Maafushi Corner.
2. Day2
   Elective adventure dives

   Choose three elective dives, such as Wreck on Kuda Giri or Peak Performance Buoyancy, then certify.
