Course overview

Reach the 30-metre recreational depth limit with the SSI Advanced Adventurer programme at Kovalam on Kerala's Arabian Sea coast. Across five adventure dives on the warm Kovalam reef you sample specialty disciplines such as deep, navigation and buoyancy diving while logging valuable experience. You finish as an SSI Advanced Adventurer, ready for deeper diving and further specialty training.

What you’ll learn

• Dive safely to a maximum of 30 metres
• Navigate underwater with compass and natural references
• Sample five specialty disciplines through adventure dives
• Refine buoyancy, trim and air consumption
• Plan deeper dives and recognise narcosis
• Gain logged experience across varied sites

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12 (junior) or 15
• SSI Open Water Diver (or a qualifying entry-level certification)
• Comfort with basic open-water skills
• Diver medical questionnaire (physician sign-off if any condition applies)

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Core adventure dives

   Complete the deep and navigation adventure dives on the Kovalam reef with supporting digital theory.
2. Day2
   Elective adventure dives

   Finish three further adventure dives in the Arabian Sea, then certify as SSI Advanced Adventurer.
