Broaden your diving with the SSI Advanced Adventurer course in Djibouti, exploring the reefs, walls and drop-offs of the Gulf of Tadjoura where the Red Sea opens to the Indian Ocean. Over five dives sampling different specialties you build the skills and confidence to dive to 30 metres in one of the Red Sea's quietest destinations, and each dive counts toward a full SSI specialty later.
The SSI Advanced Adventurer rating is earned by completing five adventure dives delivered through SSI digital learning, each of which counts as the first dive toward the matching SSI specialty. It is the SSI prerequisite for the Diver Stress & Rescue programme.
Adventure dives cover the reefs, walls and drop-offs of the Gulf of Tadjoura, where calm-to-moderate conditions and warm 24-30°C water through the October-to-February peak support a varied programme; this window also coincides with whale-shark season.
