Course overview

SSI Advanced Adventurer expands your range across Baa Atoll in the Maldives, letting you sample five specialty areas and dive to 30 metres on the atoll's varied reefs. Through dives near Dharavandhoo you build deep-diving, navigation and drift skills among mantas, reef sharks and turtles, earning the SSI Advanced Adventurer rating.

What you’ll learn

• Dive confidently to a maximum of 30 metres
• Sample five specialty areas to find your diving interests
• Navigate using compass and natural references
• Manage buoyancy and trim on reef and drift dives
• Build experience with mild atoll currents

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 10 (Junior) / 15
• SSI Open Water Diver or equivalent certification
• Basic comfort in open water
• Diver medical clearance form (physician sign-off if needed)

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Deep & navigation dives

   Complete deep and navigation adventure dives on the channels and reefs near Dharavandhoo.
2. Day2
   Specialty sampler dives

   Try three more specialty adventure dives - such as drift, perfect buoyancy or marine ecology - then certify.
