Course overview

Earn the PADI Wreck Diver specialty on Maafushi by exploring the Maldives' most accessible wreck, Kuda Giri, a sunken cargo vessel in the South Malé Atoll draped in coral and patrolled by reef fish. Across four dives in warm 27-30°C water you learn safe wreck-diving techniques, from mapping and survey to careful penetration. You finish certified to plan and lead wreck dives at depth.

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 15
• PADI Adventure Diver or Advanced Open Water (or qualifying equivalent)
• Comfortable diving to 30 metres
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Theory & first wreck dives

   Wreck-diving theory, then survey and exterior dives on Kuda Giri to learn navigation and mapping.
2. Day2
   Lines & limited penetration

   Run guidelines and reels and, where conditions allow, practise careful limited penetration to certify.
