Course overview

Learn to explore sunken structures with the PADI Wreck Diver specialty at Kovalam, applying wreck-diving techniques on sites off the Kerala coast in the warm Arabian Sea. You practise mapping, careful navigation around the Kovalam-area sites and safe penetration planning under instructor guidance, down to 30 metres. You finish certified as a PADI Wreck Diver.

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 15
• PADI Adventure Diver or Advanced Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification)
• PADI Deep Diver recommended for deeper wrecks
• Diver medical questionnaire (physician sign-off if any condition applies)

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Theory and first wreck dives

   Cover wreck-diving theory and make the first guided wreck dives off Kovalam, practising survey and navigation.
2. Day2
   Mapping and certification

   Complete the remaining dives, including mapping and limited penetration, and certify as a PADI Wreck Diver.
