Course overview

Explore one of the Gulf of Thailand's best wrecks with the PADI Wreck Diver specialty on Koh Tao, centred on the HTMS Sattakut - a former navy vessel scuttled as an artificial reef. Across four dives you learn safe wreck-diving techniques while the structure draws groupers, batfish and barracuda over its decks.

What you’ll learn

• Manage buoyancy and trim to avoid silt-outs and entanglement

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 15
• PADI Adventure Diver or Advanced Open Water (or equivalent)
• Deep Diver specialty recommended for the deeper wreck profiles
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Theory & wreck planning

   Cover wreck-diving hazards, reel and line use and survey techniques in the classroom before kitting up.
2. Day1
   Wreck dives 1-2

   Make your first two dives on the HTMS Sattakut, surveying the exterior and mapping the structure.
3. Day2
   Wreck dives 3-4

   Complete two further dives practising reel and line work and controlled approaches to the wreck.
