Course overview

Explore the allure of sunken structures with the PADI Wreck Diver Specialty on Bangaram Island, learning safe wreck-diving techniques in the clear, current-light waters of remote Lakshadweep. You develop the planning, navigation and survey skills to dive wrecks responsibly to a maximum of 30 metres. The course earns you the PADI Wreck Diver certification.

What you’ll learn

• Run guidelines and reels for safe navigation around a wreck
• Recognise hazards such as entanglement, silt-out and sharp structure

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 15
• PADI Adventure Diver or higher (Open Water Diver with referral as applicable)
• Comfort with buoyancy control and navigation
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Planning and survey

   Cover wreck-diving theory and complete the first dives focused on assessment and survey technique.
2. Day2
   Mapping and navigation

   Complete the remaining wreck dives practising mapping, reel use and safe navigation, then certify.
