Short on time? The PADI Scuba Diver certification gets you diving in North Malé Atoll faster, covering the first half of the Open Water course so you can dive to 12 metres under the supervision of a professional. You train in calm lagoons and on gentle house reefs and can upgrade to full Open Water Diver later.

The PADI Scuba Diver pathway

The PADI Scuba Diver rating is a subset of the Open Water Diver course; certified Scuba Divers dive to 12 metres with a PADI professional and can upgrade to full Open Water Diver by completing the remaining sections.

Where you'll dive in North Male Atoll

You train on the sheltered lagoons and shallow house reefs of North Malé Atoll, easily reached by short boat hops from the resort. The diving season peaks from November to April, when visibility is best across North Malé Atoll's channels and reefs, with warm 27-30°C water year-round and moderate currents on the channel sites.
