Become a more confident, capable diver with the PADI Rescue Diver course at Netrani Island off the Karnataka coast. Working from the boats that run out to Netrani's reef, you learn to anticipate, prevent and manage dive emergencies, from tired divers at the surface to unresponsive divers underwater. You finish certified as a PADI Rescue Diver, a key milestone on the path toward Divemaster.
PADI Rescue Diver requires current Emergency First Response (or equivalent CPR/first-aid) training and is the prerequisite for the PADI Divemaster rating. The course is widely regarded as the most rewarding step in recreational diver education.
Rescue scenarios are staged on the boat dives to Netrani Island from Murdeshwar, where the reef's moderate currents and varied depths give realistic conditions to practise surface and underwater rescues. The October-to-April season delivers the calmest seas for managing rescue exercises safely.
