Become a more confident, capable diver with the PADI Rescue Diver course at Kovalam, learning to prevent and manage dive emergencies in the warm Arabian Sea. Across scenario-based open-water exercises on the Kovalam reef you practise self-rescue, assisting tired or panicked divers and managing a missing-diver situation. It is widely regarded as the most rewarding PADI course and the gateway to professional training.
PADI Rescue Diver is recognised worldwide and is a required step toward the PADI Divemaster rating. A current Emergency First Response (CPR and first aid) certification is a prerequisite and can be completed alongside the course.
Rescue scenarios are run at sheltered open-water sites along the Kovalam reef in the Arabian Sea, where warm 27-30°C water and the calm post-monsoon season (roughly October to March) make it easier to focus on technique.
