Become the diver who can prevent and manage problems with the PADI Rescue Diver course on Koh Tao. In the warm, forgiving 28-30C Gulf of Thailand you practise self-rescue, tired-diver tows and missing-diver searches at sheltered sites like Japanese Gardens and Twins, emerging more confident and aware of the divers around you.

The PADI Rescue Diver pathway

PADI Rescue Diver is widely regarded as the most rewarding recreational course and is a prerequisite for the PADI Divemaster rating. Current Emergency First Response (CPR and first aid) training is required and can be completed alongside.

Where you'll dive in Koh Tao

Rescue scenarios are run at Koh Tao's sheltered training sites such as Japanese Gardens, Twins and Mango Bay, where calm 28-30C water and easy entries make demanding drills manageable. Diving is year-round, with the steadiest conditions from March to May.
