The PADI Rescue Diver course in Hurghada transforms you into a more confident, self-aware diver able to prevent and manage problems for yourself and others. Practising tired-diver tows, surface rescues and underwater searches on calm Red Sea reefs and from day boats, you learn to think like a rescuer in a forgiving, warm-water setting. It is widely described as the most rewarding course in recreational diving and is the gateway to professional training.
This is the PADI Rescue Diver certification. It requires a current Emergency First Response (CPR/first aid) credential and is a mandatory step before the PADI Divemaster professional rating.
Rescue exercises use the calm, shallow shore reefs and day-boat sites around Hurghada, where warm water (22-29C) and steady conditions let you focus on technique rather than fighting the environment. The protected lagoons and gentle reef tops are ideal staging grounds for staged emergency scenarios.
