Course overview

The PADI Rescue Diver course in Tulamben transforms you from a self-focused diver into one who watches out for everyone, practising tired-diver tows and surface rescues from the same black-sand beach used to reach the USAT Liberty. Scenarios play out in the protected, warm waters of Tulamben Bay where currents are gentle and visibility forgiving. Most divers call it the most rewarding course they take.

Rescue scenarios use the sheltered black-sand shore and shallow reef of Tulamben Bay, where calm conditions let you focus on towing, lifting and surfacing an unresponsive diver near the coral-covered Liberty wreck.
