The PADI Open Water Diver course on Havelock earns you a lifelong licence to dive to 18 metres in one of India's richest marine regions. Taught in small groups in the calm, crystal-clear Andaman Sea, your confined and open-water dives unfold over coral reefs off Beach No. 3 alive with clownfish, parrotfish and turtles. It's the full, internationally recognised entry into scuba.
PADI's Open Water uses eLearning or the PADI Touch system, certifies you for life with a PADI digital card, and feeds directly into the Advanced course.
Open Water training runs at Havelock's sheltered reefs off Beach No. 3, with confined sessions in calm shallow water and open dives to 18 metres. The clear Andaman Sea, around 28°C, reveals coral gardens busy with clownfish, parrotfish, moray eels and reef turtles. These beginner sites stay diveable year-round, with the monsoon adding extra fish activity.
