See the Andaman reef transform after dark with the PADI Night Diver specialty in Port Blair. Over a series of night dives near Chidiyatapu you learn to dive confidently with a torch, navigate in low light and spot the nocturnal creatures, hunting octopus, lionfish and crustaceans, that only emerge after sunset. The certification opens a whole new side of the reef.
PADI Night Diver can be credited as an Adventure Dive toward the Advanced Open Water rating and counts toward Master Scuba Diver. It builds confidence diving in low-light and reduced-visibility conditions.
Night dives use sheltered reef sites near Chidiyatapu and Port Blair, where calm conditions and warm 27-29C water in the December-to-April season make after-dark diving comfortable and bring out octopus, lionfish and other nocturnal creatures.
