Course overview

See the Andaman reef transform after dark with the PADI Night Diver specialty in Krabi, diving the calm local sites around Ao Nang as nocturnal life emerges. Over three dives you learn to navigate, communicate and stay oriented by torchlight while spotting hunting moray eels, cuttlefish and octopus. You finish certified as a PADI Night Diver.

What you’ll learn

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12 (junior) or 15
• PADI Open Water Diver (or qualifying equivalent)
• Comfortable with basic buoyancy and navigation
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Theory & first night dive

   Cover night-diving planning and complete your first dive at dusk on a calm reef near Ao Nang, practising light signals.
2. Day2
   Navigation & orientation

   Run a torch-led navigation dive, maintaining orientation and buddy contact in darkness.
3. Day3
   Marine-life night dive

   Complete a final night dive observing nocturnal life such as octopus, cuttlefish and hunting morays.
