Course overview

Discover a completely different reef after dark with the PADI Night Diver specialty in Hurghada, where the warm Red Sea comes alive with hunting moray eels, lobsters and bioluminescence once the sun sets. Across three night dives you learn light handling, night navigation and communication so you can move calmly through the darkness. You finish certified to explore Hurghada's reefs by night.

What you’ll learn

• Plan and organise a safe night dive
• Use a primary and backup light effectively underwater
• Communicate with light signals in the dark
• Navigate and maintain orientation at night
• Enter, exit and stay with your buddy in low visibility
• Identify nocturnal marine life and behaviour

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12
• PADI Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification)
• Comfort with basic navigation and buoyancy
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Theory & three night dives

   Cover night-diving theory and light technique, then complete three guided night dives on local reefs over one or more evenings to certify.
