Begin your PADI teaching career in Bali, where the calm, shore-accessible waters of Tulamben and Amed give instructor candidates ideal, controlled conditions to develop teaching presentations. The Instructor Development Course refines your ability to teach skills on the black-sand beach and brief students before exploring the USAT Liberty. You graduate ready to sit the Instructor Examination and certify divers worldwide.

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 18
• PADI Divemaster or equivalent professional rating
• At least 60 logged dives (100 to sit the IE)
• Certified diver for 6 months
• Medical clearance for diving

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Teaching foundations

   Learn the PADI system and develop classroom presentation skills.
2. Day2
   Confined teaching

   Practise teaching skills in the shallows of Tulamben Bay.
3. Day3
   Open-water teaching

   Deliver open-water teaching presentations over Tulamben's reefs.
4. Day4
   IE preparation

   Complete exams and rehearse for the independent Instructor Examination.
