Course overview

The PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) specialty is one of the most popular courses in Hurghada, and for good reason: with multiple boat dives a day on Red Sea reefs, the extended no-decompression limits of nitrox let you spend more time underwater across a diving holiday. This knowledge-based course teaches you to analyse, plan and dive with enriched air blends of 22 to 40 percent oxygen. You finish certified to dive nitrox worldwide.

The PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) pathway

This is the PADI Enriched Air Diver specialty. It is a knowledge-based course with no mandatory training dives, counts toward Master Scuba Diver, and is the most-taken PADI specialty worldwide.

Where you'll dive in Hurghada

Nitrox is especially valuable in Hurghada, where day boats run several reef and drop-off dives back to back; the extended no-decompression limits let you maximise bottom time across the warm, clear Red Sea (22-29C) sites without training dives required for the certification.
