Course overview

Become a PADI Divemaster in Papua New Guinea and take your first professional step from leading certified divers around the reefs of Kimbe Bay. Working alongside instructors across the bay's seamounts and island fringing reefs, you build the stamina, judgement and dive-leadership skills needed to guide groups in one of the world's richest coral environments. Certification qualifies you to supervise dives and assist on courses worldwide.

The PADI Divemaster pathway

The PADI Divemaster rating is the first professional level in the PADI system. It lets you supervise dive activities, assist instructors with students and guide certified divers, and is the prerequisite for the Instructor Development Course.

Where you'll dive in Papua New Guinea

Divemaster training takes place across Kimbe Bay's varied reefs and seamounts, where calm, warm 27-30°C water and abundant coral and reef life give an ideal classroom for learning to lead groups, best experienced in the dry season from around May to October.
