Course overview

Earn your first professional rating with the PADI Divemaster course in Muscat, the gateway to Oman's Daymaniyat Islands and the rocky reefs of Bandar Khayran. Working alongside instructors on boat dives to Fahal Island and the offshore reserve, you build the dive-leadership, mapping and supervision skills that let you guide certified divers and assist on courses. You finish ready to work in the global dive industry as a certified PADI Divemaster.

What you’ll learn

• Supervise and guide certified divers on Oman's reef and island sites
• Plan dives around tides, currents and boat logistics in the Gulf of Oman
• Conduct dive briefings, site mapping and surface management
• Demonstrate the 24 core scuba skills to demonstration quality
• Assist a certified instructor with students in confined and open water
• Apply dive theory, rescue technique and emergency management as a leader

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 18
• PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
• PADI Rescue Diver (or equivalent)
• Emergency First Response primary and secondary care within 24 months
• At least 40 logged dives to begin and 60 to certify
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Orientation & theory

   Programme briefing, Divemaster knowledge reviews and the start of dive-theory study.
2. Day2
   Watermanship & skills

   Swim and stamina assessments plus polishing the 24 demonstration-quality skills in confined water.
3. Day3
   Mapping & workshops

   Complete a dive-site mapping project and run deep and search-and-recovery workshops on a Muscat reef.
4. Day4
   Supervised internship

   Assist instructors and guide certified divers on boat trips to Bandar Khayran and the Daymaniyat reserve.
5. Day5
   Assessment & certification

   Final exams, scenario evaluations and Divemaster certification processing.
