Course overview

Begin your professional dive career with the PADI Divemaster course among the manta-rich reefs of Baa Atoll in the Maldives. You build dive-leadership, mapping and supervision skills on real working sites such as the channels near Dharavandhoo and the house reefs feeding Hanifaru Bay, earning your first PADI professional rating.

What you’ll learn

• Supervise and lead certified divers in open water
• Assist instructors with student divers during courses
• Conduct dive briefings, site setup and group management on atoll reefs
• Demonstrate the 24 dive skills to demonstration quality
• Map a dive site and run the stamina and rescue-based water skills
• Apply dive theory, planning and risk management as a professional

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 18
• PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification)
• PADI Rescue Diver
• Emergency First Response (CPR and first aid) within the last 24 months
• At least 40 logged dives to begin and 60 to certify
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

   Internship dives

   Assist instructors with students and supervise certified divers on the house reefs near Dharavandhoo.

   Leadership & certification

   Final supervised leadership scenarios, briefings and professional sign-off.
