Course overview

Try scuba for the first time with the PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience in the warm, sheltered waters of Mauritius's west coast. After a short briefing in the calm Flic-en-Flac lagoon, an instructor guides you on a shallow dive to around 12 metres, where you meet clownfish, parrotfish and turtles over the coral. No certification or experience is needed, just a sense of adventure.

What you’ll learn

• Breathe underwater comfortably with scuba equipment
• Equalise and descend safely under instructor guidance
• Clear water from your mask and recover a regulator
• Move and control buoyancy at shallow depth
• Communicate with basic hand signals
• Enjoy a guided reef dive while staying close to your instructor

Prerequisites

• No experience or swimming certification required
• Minimum age 10
• Reasonable comfort in water
• Able to complete a brief medical questionnaire (clearance if any condition applies)
