Course overview

Try scuba for the first time with the PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience on Maafushi, breathing underwater on the island's calm, shallow house reef in the South Malé Atoll. Under the direct supervision of a PADI professional, you learn a few basic skills and then glide over coral and reef fish in warm 27-30°C water, no certification or experience required. It is the easiest way to find out if scuba is for you.

Where you'll dive in Maafushi

The experience uses the sheltered island house reef, a shallow 0-12 metre site right off Maafushi with calm water at 27-30°C and easy access, ideal for a first breath underwater. The Maldives dives well year-round, with the calmest seas November to April.
