Course overview

Breathe underwater for the first time with the PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience on Gili Trawangan, an instructor-guided taster that needs no prior experience or certification. After a short briefing and confined-water session you make a shallow dive on a calm Gili reef to meet turtles and reef fish in warm 27-29°C water.

What you’ll learn

• Basic scuba equipment and how it works
• Fundamental safety rules and underwater signals
• How to breathe and move comfortably underwater
• Simple skills like clearing your mask and regulator
• Equalising and gentle buoyancy under instructor supervision

Prerequisites

• No experience or certification required
• Minimum age 10
• Reasonable health and comfort in water
• Complete a brief medical questionnaire
