Course overview

Try scuba for the first time with the PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience on Ambergris Caye, breathing underwater on the famous Belize Barrier Reef with no certification needed. Under direct instructor supervision you explore the clear, calm shallows off San Pedro and may spot turtles, rays and colourful reef fish on your very first dive.

What you’ll learn

• Breathe comfortably underwater with scuba equipment
• Use a mask, fins and regulator correctly
• Equalise and descend gently
• Perform basic safety skills such as regulator recovery
• Maintain simple buoyancy under guidance
• Communicate with hand signals

Prerequisites

• No experience or certification required
• Minimum age 10
• Able to be comfortable in water
• Complete a short medical questionnaire
