Course overview

Many of South Ari Atoll's best encounters - grey reef sharks at the channel mouths and big pelagics along the walls - happen below 18m, which is where PADI Deep Diver pays off. You will safely extend your range to 30m on the atoll's drop-offs and thilas.

What you’ll learn

• Planning dives to recreational depth limits
• Recognising and managing narcosis
• Gas consumption and turnaround planning
• Using a reference line for descent and ascent
• Colour and light changes at depth

Prerequisites

• 15 years or older
• PADI Adventure Diver or Advanced Open Water
• Good air consumption and buoyancy

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Progressive depth

   Build from 18m toward 30m while practising deep dive planning on the wall.
2. Day2
   Deep skills

   Complete the remaining deep dives with narcosis checks and gas-management drills.
