Course overview

Extend your limit to 40 metres with the PADI Deep Diver specialty in Malta and Gozo, where deep wrecks and dramatic drop-offs reward divers who can manage depth safely. You learn deep-dive planning, gas management and narcosis awareness on sites such as the deeper sections of the Imperial Eagle and Rozi, with the famous Blue Hole and steep Gozo walls nearby. You finish certified to plan and conduct dives to recreational depth limits.

What you’ll learn

• Use a reference line and safety stops correctly

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 15
• PADI Adventure Diver or higher (Advanced Open Water recommended)
• Comfortable buoyancy and air-management skills
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Deep planning & 30 m

   Theory plus two dives building toward 30 metres on a deeper wreck or wall, practising planning and narcosis checks.
2. Day2
   To 40 metres

   Two dives extending toward the 40-metre limit on a deep site such as the Imperial Eagle, then certification.
