Course overview

Extend your range to the deeper Andaman pinnacles and walls with the PADI Deep Diver specialty in Krabi, training on sites like Shark Point that drop well past recreational depths. Over four dives you learn to plan deep dives, manage gas and recognise narcosis while exploring deeper terrain accessed from Ao Nang. You finish certified to dive to the recreational limit of 40 metres.

What you’ll learn

• Plan and conduct dives to a maximum of 40 metres
• Manage air supply, time and no-decompression limits at depth
• Recognise and respond to nitrogen narcosis
• Use safety stops and contingency planning for deep dives
• Monitor buddy contact and gas in low-light conditions
• Handle deep-dive equipment and a redundant air source

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 15
• PADI Adventure Diver or Advanced Open Water (or qualifying equivalent)
• Comfortable with buoyancy and air-consumption monitoring
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Planning & progressive dives

   Study deep-dive theory and complete progressively deeper dives, practising narcosis and gas-management checks on the local Andaman pinnacles.
2. Day2
   Deep dives to 40m

   Conduct dives toward the 40-metre limit on deeper sites such as Shark Point, with full contingency planning.
