Course overview

Extend your range to the recreational limit with the PADI Deep Diver specialty at Kovalam, diving to 40 metres in the warm Arabian Sea off the Kerala coast. Across four training dives near Kovalam you learn deep-dive planning, gas management and how to recognise and respond to nitrogen narcosis. You finish certified to dive to 40 metres, the recreational maximum.

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 15
• PADI Adventure Diver or Advanced Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification)
• Comfort and experience at 18-30 metres
• Diver medical questionnaire (physician sign-off if any condition applies)

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Theory and first deep dives

   Cover deep-diving theory and make the first training dives off Kovalam, progressing in depth.
2. Day2
   Deeper dives and certification

   Complete the deeper training dives toward 40 metres in the Arabian Sea and certify as a PADI Deep Diver.
