Course overview

The PADI Advanced Open Water course builds your skills across five adventure dives and extends your certified depth to 30m, opening up Zanzibar's deeper reefs and walls. You complete the required Deep and Underwater Navigation dives plus three choices such as wreck, night or peak performance buoyancy on sites around Mnemba Atoll, Tumbatu and Stone Town.

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12 (Junior Advanced Open Water)
• PADI Open Water Diver or a qualifying certification from another agency
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Navigation & deep

   Complete the core navigation dive on Kendwa or Stone Town gardens, then a deep dive toward 30m on Tumbatu or a northern wall.
2. Day2
   Adventure electives

   Three elective adventure dives, such as wreck at Stone Town, night, drift or buoyancy on Mnemba, to certify.
