Course overview

Step up to PADI Advanced Open Water Diver in the Solomon Islands and unlock deeper wreck and reef diving across the Pacific's legendary Iron Bottom Sound. Five adventure dives, including Deep and Underwater Navigation, let you explore WWII wrecks and untouched reefs around Guadalcanal and Munda in warm 27-30°C water. You certify to dive to 30 metres and build the skills for more advanced sites.

What you’ll learn

• Plan and execute dives to a maximum of 30 metres
• Navigate accurately using a compass and natural references
• Apply specialty skills such as wreck, peak performance buoyancy or fish ID
• Manage deeper-water nitrogen narcosis awareness and gas planning
• Refine buoyancy, trim and air consumption on varied profiles

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12 (Junior Advanced Open Water)
• PADI Open Water Diver or qualifying entry-level certification
• Diver medical clearance signed where required by health history

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Core adventure dives

   Complete the Deep and Underwater Navigation adventure dives on reef sites and the edge of Iron Bottom Sound.
2. Day2
   Elective dives & certification

   Three further adventure dives such as wreck and peak performance buoyancy across Guadalcanal and Munda, then certify.
