The PADI Advanced Open Water course in Papua New Guinea builds on your Open Water skills with five adventure dives across the seamounts, walls and wrecks of Kimbe Bay. Over deep dives to coral slopes, navigation on biodiverse reefs and optional wreck or drift adventures, you gain the confidence and the depth qualification to explore the region's signature sites. The certification takes you to a 30 m maximum depth.
PADI Advanced Open Water requires five adventure dives, including a deep dive and an underwater navigation dive, and qualifies you to 30 m. It is the prerequisite for the Rescue Diver course and many specialties.
Adventure dives use Kimbe Bay's variety, from coral seamounts rising from deep water and reef walls to turtle-rich reefs around 18 m and deeper WWII wrecks, all in warm 27-30°C water, with the calmest, clearest conditions in the dry season from May to October.
