Course overview

Open up Nusa Penida's signature sites with the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course, which takes your certified depth limit to 30 metres and builds the skills to dive its currents. Across five Adventure Dives you tackle deep reefs, refine navigation and ride the drifts of Toyapakeh, putting you within reach of Manta Point and Crystal Bay. It is the natural next step after Open Water and the gateway to specialty training.

What you’ll learn

• Plan and execute dives to a maximum of 30 metres
• Navigate underwater using compass and natural references
• Manage drift and current diving safely
• Improve buoyancy control and trim for reef and wall diving
• Choose Adventure Dives such as Deep, Peak Performance Buoyancy and Fish Identification

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12 (Junior Advanced Open Water) or 15 for Advanced Open Water
• PADI Open Water Diver or qualifying certification from another agency
• Basic comfort and buoyancy from entry-level training
• Diver medical clearance signed where indicated

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Deep & navigation

   Complete the required Deep dive and Underwater Navigation dive, building depth confidence and compass skills.
2. Day2
   Elective adventures & drift

   Finish three elective Adventure Dives, including drift practice at Toyapakeh and a chance at the mantas of Manta Point.
