Course overview

PADI Advanced Open Water builds real diving experience across five adventure dives, taking you deeper and adding new skills, and Fujairah's varied east-coast sites make an excellent classroom. From deeper profiles at Dibba and Musandam to navigation and a night dive at Dibba Rock, you finish certified to 30 metres and far more confident in the water.

What you’ll learn

• Plan and execute dives to 30 metres on the Deep adventure dive
• Navigate accurately underwater using compass and natural references
• Build experience across three additional adventure specialties of your choice
• Improve buoyancy, trim and air management at depth
• Identify local marine life such as turtles, rays and reef fish

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12 (Junior Advanced Open Water 12-14)
• PADI Open Water Diver or a qualifying certification from another agency
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Deep & navigation

   Complete the two core adventure dives, going deeper at the Dibba/Musandam sites and refining your compass navigation.
2. Day2
   Three elective dives

   Pick three adventures such as night, wreck or fish identification on the reefs around Dibba Rock and Snoopy Island, and certify.
