Course overview

Build on your Open Water certification with the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course in Fiji, opening up Beqa Lagoon's deeper pinnacles and the famed multi-species shark dive. Across five adventure dives, including deep and underwater navigation, you extend your depth limit to 30m while exploring sites such as Caesars, The Bistro and Joe's Best. It is the natural next step toward greater independence and the Rescue Diver course.

What you’ll learn

• Plan and execute dives to 30 metres
• Navigate underwater using natural references and a compass
• Apply skills from three additional adventure dives you choose
• Improve buoyancy control and trim on soft-coral pinnacles
• Manage deeper profiles, gas and no-decompression limits
• Build confidence to dive with greater independence

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12 (Junior) or 15
• PADI Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification)
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician where required

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Deep & navigation dives

   Complete the required Deep and Underwater Navigation adventure dives on Beqa Lagoon pinnacles such as Caesars.
2. Day2
   Elective adventure dives

   Choose three more adventure dives, perhaps peak buoyancy, wreck or fish ID, on sites like The Bistro and Joe's Best.
3. Day3
   Review & certification

   Log final dives, confirm skills and complete registration as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver.
