A small Maldives wreck scuttled next to a thila — wreck + reef pinnacle on a single dive.
Kuda Giri is an unidentified small cargo vessel intentionally scuttled in South Malé Atoll next to a thila (pinnacle reef). The combination of an artificial wreck + a natural pinnacle makes it one of the most photogenic dives in the Maldives.
Bow at 18 m, stern at 30 m, top at around 15 m. The thila next to her holds caves, overhangs and swim-throughs. Marine life includes nudibranchs, frogfish, lionfish, schools of fusiliers and resident moray eels.
Open Water is enough for the shallow sections; Advanced opens up the stern. Day boats from South Malé Atoll resorts and liveaboards visit her. Best Dec–Apr.
