Course overview

Explore sunken history safely with the SSI Wreck Diving specialty in Raja Ampat, where wartime wrecks rest amid some of the planet's richest reefs. The course builds the planning, survey and buoyancy skills needed to dive structures responsibly while preserving the marine growth that has made each wreck an artificial reef.

What you’ll learn

• Plan and conduct safe non-penetration wreck dives
• Survey and sketch a wreck site
• Use reels and lines for orientation
• Identify and avoid wreck hazards and silt-outs
• Maintain precise buoyancy near fragile structures
• Apply emergency procedures specific to wreck diving

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 15
• SSI Advanced Adventurer or equivalent certification
• Comfortable buoyancy and trim
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

   Complete the SSI digital theory and your first wreck-survey dives.
2. Day2
   Mapping and certification

   Map a wreck, refine line use and complete the dives needed to certify.
