Course overview

Explore the legendary shipwrecks of the Florida Keys with the SSI Wreck Diving specialty in Key Largo. Diving artificial reefs like the immense Spiegel Grove, you learn survey, navigation and line-handling techniques to move around and into wrecks safely. You finish certified to enjoy one of the destination's signature experiences with skill and confidence.

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 15 (juniors from 10 with depth limits)
• SSI Advanced Adventurer or equivalent certification
• SSI Deep Diving recommended for deeper wrecks
• Medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Digital theory and survey dives

   Complete the SSI Wreck Diving module, then survey a Key Largo wreck and practise line work.
2. Day2
   Navigation and limited penetration

   Run guideline and orientation dives on the Spiegel Grove or a similar wreck, then certify.
