Course overview

Take the SSI Wreck Diving specialty in Djibouti and learn to explore sunken structures on the Gulf of Tadjoura, where the Red Sea meets the Indian Ocean along busy shipping lanes. Through SSI's digital learning and a series of guided dives you build survey, mapping and line-handling skills plus the hazard awareness that keeps wreck diving controlled. You finish certified to dive wrecks responsibly within recreational limits.

What you’ll learn

• Deploy reels and lines to maintain a continuous exit reference

• Minimum age 15
• SSI Advanced Adventurer or equivalent certification
• Sound buoyancy control and dive-planning ability
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Theory and survey

   Complete SSI wreck theory and dive planning, then begin survey and mapping dives on a Gulf of Tadjoura wreck.
2. Day2
   Lines and certification

   Work on reel and line technique with hazard management, finishing the required dives to certify.
