Course overview

Explore sunken history responsibly with the SSI Wreck Diving specialty in Ambon on the Banda Sea, a region rich in WWII and spice-trade heritage. Using the SSI digital learning system you build survey, mapping and line-handling skills on the local Hesperus wreck and others, finishing certified for recreational wreck diving.

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 15
• SSI Advanced Adventurer or equivalent certification
• Comfort at recreational depths
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Theory & first wreck dives

   Work through the MySSI wreck academics, then make survey dives on the Hesperus wreck.
2. Day2
   Mapping & line work

   Complete mapping and guideline exercises, then debrief and certify as an SSI Wreck Diver.
