SSI Scuba Diver is a recognised entry-level rating allowing supervised diving to 12 metres. It is a partial completion of the Open Water Diver programme and upgrades to full SSI Open Water Diver once the remaining academics and dives are finished.

Where you'll dive in Galapagos

Training uses sheltered, low-current sites near Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz, such as Santa Fe and the calm bays where sea lions and green turtles gather. These protected shallows are ideal for a first certification, away from the archipelago's stronger currents.
