SSI Diver Stress and Rescue on the Perhentian Islands teaches you to spot trouble early and respond decisively, making you a calmer, more capable diver. Working in the sheltered bays off Long Beach and Coral Bay, you practise stress recognition, tows and unresponsive-diver recovery in warm, easy conditions that let you concentrate on the skills.

The SSI Rescue Diver pathway

SSI Diver Stress and Rescue emphasises preventing and managing stress as the root of most diving incidents. It requires current first aid and CPR (React Right) and is a prerequisite for the SSI Divemaster programme.

Where you'll dive in Perhentian

Scenarios are set in the calm bays and reef sites of Perhentian Kecil, where water around 27-30°C and settled conditions during the March-to-October season keep the focus on rescue technique.
