Course overview

Get certified with the SSI Open Water Diver course on Neil Island, training over four dives on the Andamans' calmest reefs where clownfish, parrotfish and the odd turtle appear at gentle depths. Free SSI digital materials let you learn the theory at your own pace before you arrive.

What you’ll learn

• Dive to 18 metres with a buddy
• Set up and care for scuba gear
• Master core safety and rescue skills
• Manage buoyancy and basic navigation
• Plan dives confidently and independently

• 10 years or older
• Able to swim and float comfortably
• Medical clearance

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Theory and pool

   Work through digital theory and confined-water skills.
2. Day2
   Open-water dives 1-2

   Apply skills on the first training dives at a sheltered reef.
3. Day3
   Open-water dives 3-4

   Complete remaining dives and skills to 18 metres.
4. Day4
   Certification

   Finish assessments and receive your SSI digital card.
