Course overview

Experience Cyprus's reefs in a whole new light with the SSI Night Diving specialty. Across night dives on sheltered sites like Green Bay you learn light handling, signalling and night navigation while meeting nocturnal Mediterranean life such as octopus and moray eels.

What you’ll learn

• Plan and conduct safe night dives
• Handle a primary light and give light signals
• Maintain orientation and navigate after dark
• Communicate clearly with your buddy at night
• Observe nocturnal marine behaviour

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12
• SSI Open Water Diver or equivalent certification
• Comfort with basic buoyancy and navigation
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   First night dive

   SSI digital theory and a first guided night dive at Green Bay, focusing on light use and signalling.
2. Day2
   Night navigation and certification

   Further night dives practising navigation and marine-life observation, then certify.
