Course overview

Find your way with confidence through the SSI Navigation specialty in the Seychelles, practising compass and natural navigation on Mahe's granite-boulder reefs. Over dives on sites like the Coral Garden you learn to read reef contours, run accurate compass courses and relocate points of interest. You finish able to navigate and lead a dive on the archipelago's structured reefs.

What you’ll learn

• Run accurate compass courses and reciprocal headings

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 10
• SSI Open Water Diver or equivalent certification
• Basic buoyancy control
• Medical clearance signed by a physician
